Over the past six weeks we’ve had many conversations with our 22 new owners about the Lodge. And one of the themes that has risen to the top is something simple, yet vital to what our buyers were looking for in their new mountain residence—walkability.
Just outside the door, you can literally walk (run or bike) for miles on the Eagle River Trail, a paved and maintained trail system that is universally loved by the community. On a cruiser bike, it’s just a short ride to the Riverwalk in nearby Edwards where you can spend an entire afternoon between shops, restaurants, double features and a good book or scoop of ice cream.
And only a 5-minute stroll away is Nottingham Park, a 48-acre slice of open space that provides, among other outdoor activities, a playground, athletic fields, a performance venue, a pristine spot to swim, tennis (or pickle ball) courts and a great place for fishing or SUPing.
Did we mention the whole town of Avon is also in walking distance?
So, the next time you’re out walking, think about the Lodge, and how short the walk will be to the Riverfront Gondola.
